The Trophy 2503 is a purpose-built offshore center console with a deep-V hull designed to handle open-water conditions. On Lake Erie, that means it manages the short-period chop of the central and western basins better than most comparably-sized boats — the kind of steep 2–3 foot wind swell that punishes flatter-bottomed hulls. With 600HP on the transom and 165 gallons of fuel, range is not a concern for runs to Put-in-Bay, Kelleys Island, or east toward Erie, PA.

The engines were originally factory 200HP Mercury Verados. The owner upgraded both motors approximately four years ago with larger superchargers and ECU swaps — the same principle as a forced-induction upgrade on a performance car. The result is 300HP per motor, 600HP total. Clemens verified the engines. This is not a stock boat.

The electronics package is the other standout. The Simrad NSS GOES 12 MFD handles chartplotter, sonar, radar, and engine monitoring. The Lowrance 527C is interlinked and WiFi-compatible. Mercury SmartCraft gauges monitor port and starboard motors independently. The VHF radio is brand new. The Simrad is also autopilot-ready — it needs a $150 plug-in interface module to activate, which connects wirelessly to the Mercury engines. All original owner's manuals and documentation are included.

The interior upholstery is original from 2005. The boat was stored inside throughout its life. Nearly every piece is original — only two sections were replaced, one from a cut and one from a gaff hook.

The 100-gallon recirculating livewell, dual anchor setup (18 lb. Warn winch bow anchor + reserve stern anchor), and full bumper set make this a complete, ready-to-fish platform. Two AGM batteries, two fire extinguishers, ACR EPIRB, gaff hook, and winterization flush kit round out the package.

Known items for new owner:

  • Bow spreader/nav lights being sourced — current size no longer manufactured, owner mid-solution
  • Small gelcoat nick on bow from a dock strike — cosmetic, easy repair
  • Deck has fish-cleaning scratch marks — cosmetic only
  • Simrad GPS not currently acquiring signal
  • Speedometer replaced with second fuel gauge

Condition note: This boat has been mechanically maintained and personally worked on by the owner across every system. Everything runs. Cosmetically it needs a thorough cleaning and detail — plan for it. Priced accordingly. Retail value on a comparably equipped Trophy 2503 with Verado power is north of $269,000.

Ideal for: Lake Erie offshore fishing, walleye trolling, Put-in-Bay and Kelleys Island runs, Great Lakes cruising, anglers who want serious twin-engine power with a full electronics suite
